L' IPBOX 9000 HD è basato su processore a 266Mhz ST40-202 da 32bit, con 32MB di memoria Flash e ben 192MB di DDR SDRAM che gli conferiscono prestazioni eccezionali, Doppio Tuner plug & play, uscita HDMI con supporto HDCP, Divx e PVR Ready con possibilità d'installare Hard Disk, scheda Eternet ad alta velocità RJ-45( 100BT ). E' il primo decoder Alta Definizione Linux open source, doppio tuner e PVR, viene fornito con un solo tuner ma con la possibilità di aggiungerne un altro (optional) Sat HD o DTT.
